Registration is open for the TREAT Day of Training July 28-30, 2026 hosted by Bergkamp. 

This training will take place at the Bergkamp manufacturing facility, 3040 Emulsion Dr. in Salina, KS, and is presented by Dr. Andrew Braham, P.E.  Dr. Braham is a professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas- Fayetteville.   

Each of the 3 days will have a different focus.  Attendees are encouraged to pick the day best suited for them. 

The agenda for Tuesday, July 28 contains an administrative focus and is directed towards elected officials, decision makers and administrators involved in budgeting and planning. 

The agenda for Wednesday, July 29 includes two short demo sessions for those new to asphalt emulsions, covering an introduction to emulsions with a high-level overview of manufacturing and application.  Both the morning and the afternoon session are the same.  Attendees can choose which time works for them.  This day does not include a classroom session.   

The agenda for Thursday, July 30 consists of technical training focused on asphalt emulsions and treatments, covering quality control, testing, specifying, and inspection best practices.  This agenda is directed towards engineers and material and maintenance personnel.       

All three days include a live demonstration covering asphalt emulsion manufacturing, testing, and application using the University of Arkansas spray and mix robots plus a plant tour of Bergkamp’s manufacturing facility.  This training is free for participants.  Each participant is responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses.
